Baby Gifts!

Hello Stampers! In keeping with my hand-made gift ideas, I want to share some baby gifts I recently made. I have a few store bought items in the bag. But, I wanted to make this gift special by including some stamped & hand crafted items with the gift.

Here is the baby card. This is one of my all time favorite retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets. I just love the artwork, and the baby carriage with the baseball! TOO CUTE!!!

The next item is a wall hanging with the baby's name, Xander! This wall hanging is made from the Sizzix Scallop Square die cut, & Serrif Essentials alphabet die set. The designer paper is from Tall Tales!

And, I have been wanting to stamp on fabric for some time now. So, I decided to stamp onsies with the animals from Animal Stories.
To stamp on fabric: pre-wash to remove sizing, press, use pigment ink (Stampin'Up! Craft ink), then press again with hot, dry iron, to set the image! I had a little trouble on the cotton onsies. They recommend stamping on a tightly wolven smooth fabric. But, I like how these turned out!

Hope you enjoy today's project! Thanks for visiting!!!

My Week-end Get Away :)

Hello Stampers!

Last week-end was my annual "Sisters Get-Away" to Big Cedar. This resort is amazing! Beautiful rustic decor. The still had pumpkins and fall deor around, but had a few Christmas trees already up. The buildings were lit up at night, & cast a beautiful reflection on the water. Here are a few pictures...
Heavenly sunsets...

We took an afternoon to enjoy the biking/walking trails which included many waterfalls, trout filled streams, and awsome scenery. The weather was unbelievably warm. At times, almost hot!

And, of course, out little get-aways always include card making & scrapbooking! My sister, Barbara, designed this little project for us. The scrapbook is 3 3/4" square. And, if you can believe this...the front & back covers are made from old 1.44 MB computer disks. How clever!!! On my scrapbook, & used a variety of supplies & ribbon from my stash. The alphabet fonts are from my Sizzix Big Shot, Serrif Essentials & Naturally Serrif.

Side view photo shows a pull out for more photos.

Here's another little project I made with the Berry Christmas stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. Love this set!!! The snowflake is from the Stampin Up! Sizzlet die cut Merry Details.

Thanks for stopping by!

How about hand-made jewelry?

What a gorgeous day!!! We need to enjoy every one of these beautiful days, because the snow will be blowing soon!

Today I am sharing a project that I made quite some time ago! I made it in a hurry, before convention, so I didn't plan it out well. I have made a few changes to the original, so now I like the result.

I found these washer necklaces on splitcoast stampers and thought they were really cute. I have been wanting to make jewelry so this is an easy 1st project.

You start out with a washer. I added some Stampin' Up! rub on's (this one is retired), and covered the entire washer with Crystal Effects. Then added some of the Stampin' Up! retired black cord and finished the closure with some jewelry closures that I purchased at a discount store.
Maybe I will try to make some matching earrings with small washers & some of the Crystal beads from the Stampin' Up! Pretties Kit!!!
Wouldn't these make cute gifts. To finish off the gift, I would recommend decorating a little gift box, and maybe adding a hand stamped tag!

Hope you enjoy todays project. Thanks for visiting!

What can you stamp on today???

Just a quick post, to show you a sample of my stamped drink coasters!

These are tiles from a home improvement store, stamped with Stazon. I liked the layered look of the images, so these are stamped with the Stampin' Up! Upsy Daisy & En France' stamps! Cork was glued to back. If you would like to have more details, just let me know. Or, how about making your own set at my upcoming Christmas Gift Class???

Gotta go for now, a busy Monday ahead.

Magnetic Board for Gift Giving!!!

Those of you that know me well, know that my husband has a sheet metal shop. So, I recruited his help on this little project. He cut, & bent a piece of sheet metal with the finished size of 10" x 10". Then I covered with the beautiful designer paper from the Christmas Cocoa paper pack in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog! Then, I tied red ribbon to hang. The little magnets were made from glass Drops, designer paper, & magnet disks.

And, WOW! This is a project with no stamping that I love. I think these would make fabulous Christmas gifts! Don't you???

Thanks for visiting, & more project ideas coming soon!!!

Christmas Mini-Scrapbook, & More!!!

Hello Stampers!

I hope you have been enjoying the Christmas gift ideas that I have been sharing :)

Here is another great little project. I found this idea on YouTube! Sorry,I don't know the creator's name. The album is made from recycled business reply envelopes. Ever since I saw this idea, I have been saving them. And, I am amazed!!! I already have quite a few! I created this album with the Merry Moments designer paper pack, but it can be created with other paper, maybe the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit...

The inside is business reply envelopes, glued together, print side to print side. The flaps were cut off. In the video she used Tombo adhesive, and it works great!!! So, that is what I recommend. I cut the outside cover a little larger than the envelopes, glued envelopes to front and back. Then added designer paper to each page & cover. I made little tags to fit into each envelope. You could include journaling, or eliminate the tag & tuck in momentos, movie stubs from that favorite Christmas flick you took in during the season. Whatever you like.

Here's a sideview. I just love adding lots & lots of ribbon!!!

And, more ideas from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit! These are 4 x 4 cards. They are such a cute size. I added sentiments, and of course more ribbon! The Real Red card is my favorite. I used my Big Shot with the exclusive Stampin' Up! Lattice Die Cut! It is gorgeous!!!

Here is the group! Do you see the cute Christmas tags!!! They were one of my Convention projects using the exclusive Stampin' Up! Two Tags die cut. We also used the Sweet Season stamp set (page 29) in the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. Peak at pages 28 & 29 and check out all the fabulous products!!! And, great ideas can also be found there for the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit :) With the kit, you could make LOTS of great projects!!!

How would you like to make some of these projects at my Christmas Gift Class on December 10th or December 12th?

Come back soon for more info!

Christmas Wall Decor

I just received my new Scallop Square die cut for my Big Shot and I couldn't wait to try it out on this project!

The Scallop Square die cut is 4" square. It is one of the new clear die cuts, which makes it so versatile. For this project, I cut chipboard out with the die cut first. Then, I cut 3 pieces of cardstock (all at once) to layer on chipboard. The cardstock is Real Red, Chocolate Chip, & Old Olive. The next layer is a 3" square with same cardstock & one piece with Merry Moments Designer Paper. The next layer is alphabet punched out with the Sizzix Stampin' Up! exclusive Die Cut Alphabet, Serrif Essentials. The alphabet is approx. 2 x 2. Then, time for assembly. I used my Crop-a-Dile to punch holes in the chipboard to string ribbon through. Additional supplies used: Snowflake punch, gold brad, grosgrain ribbon, & Stampin' Dimensionals.

Our awsome Sizzix die cuts can cut up to 50 different materials! That includes chipboard, decor elements vinyl, to our sticky sheets, window sheets... and much more!!!

This project could also be created for any other occasion. Wouldn't this be adorable for a gift for a new mother, with the baby's name for display! What could you create with this idea???
