An Amazing Technique
Hey Gals!
Even though I haven't been active posting, I have been very busy with the Technique Geeks, workshops, & planning for upcoming classes!
But...today, I want to share an amazing technique I discovered when planning my monthly Technique Geek class.
This technique is called, Faux Cloisonne. It is very simple, and has amazing results! The first step is to select images from magazines, or designer paper, that have an appealing color pattern or color pallet. Then you stamp a "line art" image in Versamark, & heat emboss with gold embossing powder. You then cut out the image & layer over Basic Black cardstock. Here are some samples...
I love how the completed card came out...I will definitely be using this technique again!
Card ingredients: Card base, Soft Suede, Big Shot Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Basic Black & Very Vanilla cardstock, & the gorgeous Champagne Glimmer paper from the Holiday Mini. Also, Soft Suede ink, Stamp sets Day of Gratitude & Seasonal Sayings (the sentiment from Seasonal Sayings is available as a single stamp. Check out my business website for all the great stamps that are available as single stamps for a limited time only...
We have a great time at our monthly Technique Geeks class. No commitment, the only requirement is to pre-register. Click on the chalkboard for upcoming classes.
Hope you enjoyed todays ideas... Thanks for stopping by...

Next, you use your gorgeous image to complete your card. Here is our completed card...(note, I used a different magazine image for my card)

Fall Inspired Card
Fall is my favorite time of the year...I am so inspired by the changing leaves. (Have you noticed them yet...)
I saw a similar card designed by a fellow Stampin Up! demonstrator on the Demonstrator gallery, and wanted to re-create it to share with you.
The Early Expresso cardstock on the bottom was dry embosed with our new Woodgrain Textured Impressions embossing Folder (Holiday Mini pg. 33 love it...). The sentiment was stamped with the new Seasonal Sayings stamp set (Holiday Mini pg. 34). It was then die cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits, and then I used the Essentials paper-Piercing pack.
Hope you enjoyed todays card... thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Altered Mini Milk Carton Tutorial!
Hey Gals!
Yes, you read correctly...this is my first tutorial! (So be kind on your reviews)
Isn't this little box just toooo stinkin cute! Well, I am going to share with you how I created it from 2 of the Sizzix Mini Milk Carton Bigz L die cuts & the awsome Big Shot die cut machine!!!
Start by cutting 2 milk cartons (item #117310 $32.95) . Then you lay them out as pictured. Cut off the last section on the right. (my pic not exact...when cut, you should have 3 horizontal sections plus the little flap on the left.
This next photo shows them better....see only 3 full flaps plus the small edge for adhering them together. I used Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue (Item #110755 $3.95) to assemble.
then glue the 2nd flap to the inside of the box (looks like a tube at this point).
Then on the bottom, cut slits on each flap to help them lay down easily.
Looking down from the top of the box, you now have a hexigon. In this photo the bottom flaps have been glued down.
Then on the top of the box, fold on all the pre-scored lines to a shape, similar to a star. (because you attached 2 boxes, you will need to add two folds where they haven't been scored. (You'll see what I mean when you assemble yours')
Next, use hole punch & punch holes as illustrated, on each side of the points.
Fill your box with goodies, I also added some cardstock (basic black 1 1/2 x 11) & designer paper (1 x 12) for added decoration. I used Bakers Twine and fished through the holes & pulled tight to close box top.
Note: for the Mini Milk Carton die cut it is recommended that you use the Standard Premium Crease Pad (Item #113476 $8.95)
TaaaaDaaa!
Additional supplies: Ghoulish Googlies Bundle (pg. 27) Holiday Mini Catalog, Item #129853 clear mount bundle $16.95 , Item 129852 wood mount bundle $20.95. Basic Black Classic Ink, Basic Black Scalloped Dots Ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Technique Card Class Sample
Hello Gals!
Today I am going to give you a peak at one of the recent technique cards created in my Technique Geek card classes. This card was created with the Perfectly Preserve bundle and Orchard Harvest designer paper from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. The card technique is a Suspension Card. You layer two pieces of punched cardstock between a piece of string, or in this case jewelry line, then place the punched out layer with string inside a larger punch out on your card base. (note, you need an extra layer of cardstock to hide the string) Here are some photos of the card...
As you can see from the samples, there are 2 different images on the center card layer, so when you flip the suspended image, you get another fun image on the other side.
If you would like to join in the technique classes, info is listed on the right side of my blog. Next classes, the 1st week of September!
Thanks for stopping by, & have a great day!!!

Boooo Scrapbook Pages!
Good Monday Morning to you!
Last week-end was the monthly Scrapbooking class here, and the girls & I had a great time. I enjoy stamping & sharing with all of you so much...
So, here are the pages we created,
This layout was CASED from a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator on the Stampin' Connection. There was very little that I changed. I used the Orchard Harvest designer paper from the Holiday Mini catalog, the new Gently Falling stamp set from the big catalog & the new Oval Accent Bigz Clear die cut. Yes, I did use a retired alphabet die...the new typeset Alphabet is on my wish list :).
Here is the 2nd layout we did...Halloween!!!
I found this page layout on my favorite scrapbook sketch site, www.pagemaps.com . And, I just had to use those little Googly Ghouls. They are just toooooo cute with the Googlie eyes!!! On the left page, we ran the 4 x 11 strip of Basic Black cardstock through our Spider Web embossing folder, sponged it with Whisper White Craft ink, and then cut it in to to stretch it to the 12 x 12 page. (One of my little secrets that I share with scrappers) The right page has 3 x 3 squares alternating designer paper(last years Halloween available on the clearance rack) the piece of old olive is dry embossed with the Chevron embossing folder. The squares of white will be swapped out with Halloween photos. And, of course, Frankie in the center 3" circle, colored with an Old Olive marker.
If you enjoy scrapbooking, my Scrap the Years class is a great way to get those pictures off that SD card on into your scrapbook!!!
I have more pages to share (so behind in sharing) so I will be back soon to share some of our previous months pages.
Thanks for stopping by, & have a great week!

I'm back with a fun Digital Project!
Hello World!!!
I'm baaaack! Well, I really haven't been gone, but have been absent from blogging much too long. I have been extremely busy with technique classes, scrapbook classes, and creating. I made tons of cards for convention (which my awsome downline Sarah was so generous to swap for me). There is just so much I want to catch you up on in my Stampin' Up! world.
The 1st thing is NOW is an awsome time to join my Stampin' Up! team! The new starter kit option enables you to select $125 worth of product, fully customizable, for only $99 plus tax. No freight! No obligation to sell or hold workshops...but if you choose to, you would receive instant income on your orders. This is a great time to begin a stampin' business with the holidays approaching...
In addition to the awsome opportunity, Stampin' Up! is offering this adorable Halloween printer's drawer project kit FREE during August (a $60 value)!!!
You can download a FREE 30 day trial of My Digital Studio through my business web site click shop now to see the awsome My Digital Studio downloads!
Today I am sharing a project I created with the Pinwheel Daily Calendar Template (Item# 128342 sale price $6.87). Birthdays are big celebrations in my family, so I wanted to create a birthday book to help me remember all of them. I printed the calendar template on 3 sheets of whisper white cardstock. I trimmed the 12 monthly calendar templates (they are approx. 2 1/4 by 7" each).
Then I cut a 8 1/4 x 9 1/2 piece of designer paper from the Patio Party paper pack (item#126910). I scored the paper at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2 vertically, and 7 1/2" horizontally. I folded on score lines to make three 2 3/4" sections with a 2" pocked across the bottom. 4 of the months with be tucked in each section.
Then, to decorate the front...Hmmm, how about the Make a Cake stamp set, Page 44, clear #126742 $11.95 or wood mount #126740 $14.95. Punched Midnight Muse cardstock with 2 3/8 scalloped circle punch, and image punched with 1 3/4 circle punch. Added a 1" belly band with Primrose Petals cardstock, & added Summer Starfruit ribbon.

Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps
Hi All!
This week is the annual Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City. I was unable to attend this year, but was so blessed to have my downline Sarah take swaps for me. That means that I will have tons of fabulous card ideas to share with all of you.
Here are some of the swaps I sent with her. The 1st card is a "catalog lift" card. It was cased from the Stampin' Up! catalog, page 47, using the It's Wrap stamp set. The sample in the catalog is a decorated paper bag, but I have converted the idea to a greeting card. It goes to show you that the catalog is great place to turn to if you need card ideas!
The next 3 cards were created for a Technique Card swap. Since many of you have been enjoying my monthly technique classes, I wanted to get some great ideas for technique cards! These techniqes are Spotlighting, Ghosting, and the 3rd card is Bleach stamping. Can't wait to see all the great new swaps!
And, on another subject, just a reminder that the "Reason to Smile" promotion ends July 31st. With an order of $50, you can purchase this great stamp set for only $5 in either wood or clear mount!
You can get more info at my business web site http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/bethkendzora/promotions

Today's card was created by one of my fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators for our recent shoebox swap. She used the Make a Cake & Itty Bitty Banners stamp sets. The card base is Baja Breeze, with Summer Starfruit & Midnight Muse accents(two of the new In-Colors). Love the little pinwheel on top :)

Having fun with the new Stampin' Up! stamp sets!
I hear from so many people that there just isn't enough time in the day, and I have that same problem. But, I just had to make time to play with the new stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 catalog.
For this card, I used the Everything Eleanor set. I love the flourish stamps in the set and everything looks good in black. The focal color is Summer Starfruit one of the new 2012-2014 In Colors. It's in between Yellow & Lime. I love it!!! I watercolored the flower & cut it out and covered it with Crystal Effects. Here is a close up...
On Saturday, I participated in a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Shoebox Swap. I have told you all about these swaps before...Demo's design cards and bring enough supplies for everyone. We then create each other's cards. What a great bunch of gals...thanks everyone!!!
So, here is the first of many cards I will be sharing from the shoebox swap.
Another sample using the Everything Eleanor stamp set. Also, this sample uses the Loving Thoughs stamp set for the sentiment, Colors: Summer Starfruit, Soft Suede, and Rasberry Ripple ink. Soft Suede ribbon. Also, used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder, Labels Collection Framelets, and 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle Punch.
Well, back to another busy day! I will share more projects soon...Thanks for stopping by!

Time for a digital card!
It has been a while since I shared a digital card. One great thing about creating digital cards is that you have all those great stamps, designer papers, & embelishments right at your fingertips. You can re-size the stamps, & change colors. If you dont like your creation, you can start over with just a click. You can print your project on your home printer, or use the professional print vender through the program with a guarantee that the colors will match Stampin' Up! colors.
There are many stamp brush sets available from stamp sets that are retired. If you missed out on purchasing your favorite rubber, you may find it in the My Digital Studio downloads. Have a favorite designer paper that retired...maybe it is one of the many designer paper downloads.
There are tons of downloads to choose from.
Every Tuesday Stampin' Up! has great new downloads available to add to your program. When I saw the new Soft Blooms download this week, I just had to snatch it up!!! Can you believe this card is digital....It looks sooo dimensional!
Soft Blooms Digital Download #130080 $3.95
Just a reminder, you can download a 30 day trial of the Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio for FREE!!! Absolutely no obligation to purchase. Why not give it a try?
Here is the link . Click on shop now, then digital designing.

We know you’re going to love these new Firm Foam Stampin’ Pads—just look at all the exciting benefits listed below:
- Provide better ink coverage for your stamps!
- Light-tap stamping produces flawless images!
- Create wonderfully solid images. The Firm Foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp than the felt pads. When using the Firm Foam pad, your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads. Please note: if you are using the ink pad frequently you may need to re-ink your Firm Foam pad more often.
- Have a crisply printed, glossy label on the top of the pad that is easier to read and that will not fade or chip off!
- Come with color name labels in all four languages (English, Spanish, French, and German)--just choose your language, peel it off the back, and add it to the side of the pad for easy identification!
- Use the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist!
- Are available in all colors, including our exclusive In Colors!

Hello Bloggers!
