Happy Friday!

One of my favorite stamp sets is Baroque Motifs!

I just love that elegant look. Here are 2 color schemes of the same card. This card was a very simple card to create, with just one ink color, and some designer paper. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. This is a great stamp set for anyone just beginning to build their stamp collection, and includes 8 sentiments. It was one of the first stamp sets I selected in my Demo Kit.

This basic layout could be created with any theme in mind. With a change of colors & sentiment, it could could be used for many different occasions. And did you notice, I only needed ONE INK COLOR! All supplies used were Stampin' Up!

Have a great week-end!

Holiday Share

Hello Bloggers!
Such a busy time of year. Thanksgiving, Birthdays, & now preparing for Christmas!
Today I am sharing a couple of recent workshop cards.
The 1st card uses the Snow Swirled stamp set & Lovely as a Tree. I saw a similar card, and for the life of me, I cant remember the card designer. So, I cannot claim this idea as my own. But, I loved using the tall pine tree for branches!!! We stamped the snowflakes with Versamark, clear embossed, & applied the dye ink with sponge daubers. We used new In Color, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, & Baja Breeze. Pines stamped with Kiwi Kiss. Then punched with 1 1/4 circle punch. The sentiment is from All Holidays, which takes you from Thanksgiving to Valentines Day!
The 2nd card used the sentiment from All Holidays. I used the Top Note die cut from the Big Shot. Also, die cut leaves from Autumn Vine designer paper. Tied on Rope Twine (both from Holiday Mini) and frayed the ends. A little distressing with sponge dauber. Very simple card to create.
I will try to upload again, soon! Thanks for visiting.

Stampin' Up! Big Shot

Well, here is it...the Sizzix Big Shot! And, that cute bag to carry it in!!!
This new die cut machine is awsome! The Big Shot will cut through so many materials, from fabric to chipboard! Chipboard...now you have my attention. (Please contact me of you would like a copy of the list) And you can use ANY COMPETETORS DIE CUTS!!! Including the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders, which I absolutely LOVE! Well, the original machine can't do all that! And, the Bigz dies don't fit in the original machine. Stampin' Up! has a great assortment of die cuts available for the Big Shot, and some "exclusive die cuts, not available anywhere else! I already had the original machine, but...you see what came next :) I had to have one!!!

I have included photos of some of my projects using my new Big Shot.
This cute little bag is made from the exclusive Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL Die, and the Sizzlets Snowflake die set (includes a set of 4). The Basket & Bloom die cut includes the basket, tag, and some flowers.
The snowflake ornament was made by first using the Large Snowflake die cutting chipboard, then die cutting the sparkle paper and adhering it to the front. I adhered felt to the back.

I made this little scrapbook with the Bigz Circle Scallop die cut. It is approximately 4 1/2 " across. First, I cut the chipboard, love it....then I cut the front & back (2 sheets at the same time) of the designer paper, Urban Garden. Then, another sandwich of cardstock, multiple sheets at once :) and the pages for the album. I punched a hole through everything with my Crop-a-dile, and assembled the album. I did the "ribbon fraying" technique with Old Olive grosgrain ribbon. Also, added some Navy Grosgrain ribbon.

I am on a roll, now! I need to add my photos, and some embelishments. This is too cute! This album could be created for any theme, any occasion. Great Christmas Gift Idea!!!
Stampin' Up! has additional supplies available for the Big Shot, which are not yet listed in our catalogs.

Item #114320 On Board Longboard (chipboard) 6 sheets of 5 3/4 x 13 3/4 $6.95

12 x 12 Decor' Elements Sheets $12.95 ea.

Item #114334 Dark Grey
Item #114335 White
Item #114336 Kraft
Item #114337 Chocolate
I will be taking my "Big Shot" on the road, sooo if you host a Stampin' Up! workshop, I will be happy to bring it along to show you and your guests how easy it is to use, and how it can add to your creative possibilities!
Thanks for visiting!

Inspired Card with a Gift

This card was created with the Inspired by Nature stamp set. It was a "must have" from the Fall-Winter Idea Book & Catalog.

I stamped this card front as soon as I got the set, but I put it aside until I decided how I wanted to complete the card. Sometimes creativity takes time LOL! Anyway, I was cleaning out my space and decided it was time to complete this one! I have been on a tag kick lately...so I decided again to do the trick with the tag punch by cutting cardstock to width and sliding through the punch to make a very long tag. Not a tag, now, it is a bookmark!!! Now, this card comes with a great little keepsake. I cut a small slit across the top of the card, so the surprise is visible when the card is opened. A perfect little card, gift, for a special friend.

I have included several pictures so you can see the result!

Ingredients:

Stamps: Inspired by Nature
Cardstock: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla

Ink: So Saffron, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip( I inked the stamp with sponge daubers)

Ribbon: Old Olive Wide Grosgrain

Punch: Large Tag Punch

I hope you are "inspired to create" today! Thanks for stopping.

Embossed Leaves

Thanksgiving cards can be created with so many styles, but I wanted this one to be a more elegant card, but simple. I used the With Gratitude stamp set (it is a favorite of mine for Thanksgiving cards) and the Holiday's & Wishes sets. The Holiday's & Wishes set has sentiments that will take you from Thanksgiving all the way to Valentines Day. A great, affordable set. And, the leaves in the With Gratitude set are gorgeous!

I stamped the leaf images with Versamark, & embossed with black. The ribbon is retired Black Organdy, sorry:( but I love this ribbon!!! I Used Really Rust & Basic Black Cardstock. The tag uses Very Vanilla with Basic Black Classic ink. I made the tag, as I demonstrated at stamp camp, by cutting a strip of cardstock to width, & bringing up through the bottom of the Tag Punch to make a tag any length. Tied on with string. Really, quite simple! All supplies (except string) Stampin' Up!

Happy stamping!

Christmas Stamp Camp

Hello everyone! So sorry for my absence, but as you can see...I have been very busy.

I absolutely love having stamp camps... and what is better than a Christmas Stamp Camp?

I had an awsome group of stampers, actually 3 groups of stampers, from 8:30 till 5:00. Thanks to everyone who attended. Special thanks to my dear sister that prepared the yummy breakfast caserole, and to you gals that helped me gather up the supplies & pack at the end of the day :)

We stamped 8 cards, 2 each of 4 designs. Also, we created 2 dimensional projects, perfect for holiday table favors.

The 1st card was created for Thanksgiving. I cased this idea directly from the Stampin Up! demonstrator web site. It is full of awsome projects created by fellow demonstrators.

Ingredients: CARDSTOCK Baja Breeze (IN COLOR), Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla STAMPS Inspired by Nature, Holidays & Wishes, & Autumn Harvest

INK Chocolate Chip, ACCESSORIES Large Oval Punch NEW, Scallop Circle Punch, & Stampin' Dimensionals

Mr Twigster has arrived!!! Isn't he just the cutest little snowman you have ever seen??? He has great little accessories included in this very affordable stamp set, including a little Charlie Brown tree :)

INGREDIENTS: Cardstock Bashful Blue, Pacific Point (IN COLOR) & Whisper White

STAMPS: Mr Twigster from the new Holiday Mini Catalog, & sentiment from Best Wishes & More, INK: Whisper White (background snowflakes) Black Stazon & markers Real Red, Only Orange, & Regal Rose, Pacific Point, Stampin' Glitter & 2 way glue pen, Pacific Point Striped Grosgrain ribbon, Snowflake from the new BIG SHOT, & gold brad.

The next card was created with the new stamp set, Snow Swirled from the Fall-Winter Idea Book & Catalog (pg 32). Cardstock: Pink Pirouette (IN COLOR), Elegant Eggplant, & Whisper White

Stamp Sets: Snow Swirled & Heard from the Heart, Ink: Versamark with Stampin' Chalks, Elegant Eggplant, Accessories: Rhinestone Brads & new Scallop Punch.
Plus: Anyone interested in this stamp set...the Snow Blossom punch on page 189 fits the snowflakes!!!

I found this little project on Becky Roberts' blog. I made a few changes, and this is the result...

The cutest little treat holder created from a 4 x 6 piece of designer paper. Scored, & folded. We used the Horizontal punch to tie ribbon through the top. The ribbon is from the Holiday Mini catalog, pg. 23, Alpine ribbon Originals. The small snowflake punched with the BIG SHOT, brad in center adheres it to the little treat box. The fun size candies fit inside.

This project was from the Stampin' Success, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator magazine. It is full of great ideas for us to share with you! Mine was created from a 5 x 6 sheet of designer paper. We used sticky strip to adhere & make a tube. Adhesive on each end, & crimped. Campers left one end open to fill with their special treats when they got home. The tag was attached with the Gold Cord from Holiday Mini catalog, Sentiment is from the Best Yet stamp set (Level 1 Hostess), punched with the 1 1/4 square punch, backed with the Scallop Square punch, attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The final card, is the very formal Christian Christmas card featuring the Season of Simple Grace. A beautiful stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalog (pg 16) with the Nativity Shepherds, & 3 Kings.

We learned this technique at the Stampin' Up! Regionals, and & just love it. It is Embossing Resist. We stamped the 3 Kings on Very Vanilla cardstock with Versamark, embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Then sponged Chocolate Chip ink.

Ingredients: Season of Simple Grace stamp set, Cardstock: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, & Very Vanilla. Designer paper Holiday Treasures (pg 170), Accessories: Large tag punch, 3/4 circle punch, 1/16 punch, Riding Hood Red Grosgrain ribbon.
All supplies used: Stampin' Up!

Getting ready for Halloween!

Well, it is starting to feel like Halloween weather. You know, that cool, rainy, fall weather. So, I thought it fitting to share a couple of Halloween ideas with you.

The 1st post is a card I created for my upcoming stamping event at the Senior Center. I just love sharing craft ideas with them. I designed this card to fit in the standard A2 envelope. The fold is on the left. Card base is Whisper White, I cut the card into the triangle shape, and used the corner rounder to round off the tips. I then added layers of Pumpkin Pie & YoYo Yellow. Very little stamping here, I used the All Holidays stamp set, stamped in Chocolate Chip. I also sponged the edges of the card with Chocolate Chip. The ribbon is the new felt Ribbon Originals, Alpine, from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. I love this new ribbon!!!
Another idea...if you have the new Big Shot die cut machine, you could use the Pennant Bigz die to make this card :)

The next picture is of card candy I receive as a Regional Seminar swap. It was created by Leanna Cardwell. The stamp set is the Eat, Drink & Be Scary set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. If you are not familiar with "Card Candy", these stamped creations can be added to a card or scrapbook page, and with just a little more cardstock, or designer paper, you have a completed project! Very FUN!

I hope today's posts will help you to be inspired to create your "ghooly treats" for Halloween!

Circle punches used are 1 1/4 & 1 3/8. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment above the image. Designer paper is the Level 1 Hostess, Always Artichoke. World Card Making Event Projects

Last night was our World Card Making Day Event! So much fun stamping with everyone! A big thank you to my customers, and downline Demonstrators for making this event a great event!!!
These are the 3 cards we made at the event. What I loved about this event, was these cards were created by each of the 3 demonstrators at the event, and showed our varied style and various techniques.

The first card was created by Kelly, using the Season of Friendship stamp set from the new Stampin Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. Very nice, Kelly! Now I want that set too, darn it!!! The 2nd card was created by Sarah I love this one too! She used the Say it With Scallops stamp set, this year's Ronald McDonald set. This set coordinates with the new Square Scallop Punch. We also used the 1/4" circle punch to punch out the word, Hi. And another great punch, the new Scallop border punch was used on the Red Riding Hood cardstock. The Polka Dot Background stamp was used on the background!
The last card was created by me :) We used the With Gratitude stamp set, and used the baby wipe technique. This technique has been around for a while, but always gets a "wow" . We used the Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, & Old Olive re-inkers to stamp in. I just love these colors together. Also, I got out some of my tools for everyone to play with!!! The color spritzer, the cutter kit, and another Stamp-a-ma-jig lesson. Once you see how the Stamp-a-ma-jig works, it will be a "must have"!
Everyone stamped coordinating envelopes for their cards. It was so much fun to see their ideas. One of the stampers used the new Scallop punch to make scallop edges of the envelope flap, and stamped a little Hi! on the back.
Well, until next time, Happy Stamping! All supplies used, Stampin' Up!
BTW: My next event will be Nov. 1st, Christmas Stamp a Stack! More details soon :)

Happy World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day! I feel like I have my own world recongnized day...because there is nothing I would rather do than brew a fresh cup of coffee & go to my own "space" and create!!! Even as a child, I remember looking forward to Fridays, because on Friday we had art class at my grade school :) I have always enjoyed crafts, and cardmaking just "clicked with me".

I have lots of samples to share with you today!!! The 1st 3 cards were created with the Stampin' Up! Simply Sent Card Elements kit, Handmade Holidays. There are enough supplies in the kit to create 18 cards. The kit includes cardstock, designer paper, & stickers. The instructions are quite simple to follow. To complete the cards, you will also need a stamp set. There is a coordinating set, To You & Yours. The images fit perfectly on the stickers included in the set! On the 1st card, I actually used the Peace stamp from All Holidays! I added the Alpine Ribbon sold in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

On the next 2 cards, I used the stickers in the kit. There was no stamping on the following 2 cards. So, you can do your own thing...or use the kit instructions & coordinating stamp set. Either way, I am sure you will pleasantly surprised by the beauty of these cards! The Simply Sent Card Elements & Card Kits found on pages 176 & 177 in the Fall-Winter Catalog are on sale until October 11th!!! Call me for details, or visit my business web site!

And...since it is World Card Making Day, how about more card samples!!!
I couldn't decide which card to share, so I am sharing both :) .The card base on each is Chocolate Chip. The background cardstock is Close to Cocoa, with Chococolate Chip Ink. The Stamp set used for the background is Stitched Exotics...love that one! The sentiment is from Best Yet (A Level 1 Hostess Set) stamped on Very Vanilla, and punched with the new large Oval Punch. I also used the Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon on both cards, as well as the Mat Pack for paper piercing. On the first sample I also used Tempting Turquoise cardstock.
Which one do you like best? I would love to hear your comments.
I hope you enjoyed todays cards! If you want to spend a little time creating some unique greeting cards, try hopping over to Splitcoast Stampers. They are having card challenges all day. Lots of fun!! !All supplies used today are from Stampin' Up!

There are still a couple of seats available at my World Card Making Event!!! You will complete 3 cards for $5 or FREE with $30 purchase!!!

And...if you place a $30 order with me by Oct. 10th, you will be in the Mystery Hostess drawing. You could win a FREE Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set AND $15 in FREE Stampin' Up! Products!!! CALL ME SOON!!!

Treat Pouch!

Here is another great project we completed at the Stampin' Up! Regionals.

It is a treat pouch holder using the new Scandinavian Season stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. When I first saw this stamp set, I couldn't look beyond using it for Christmas cards. But, look at this great sample. It doesn't look at all like a Christmas project. That shows the great versatility of this stamp set.

The outside of the treat holder is using the Baja Breeze textured cardstock. The bottom of the treet holder was stamped with the Scandinavian Stampin' Around Wheel. I used the Baja Breeze ink & Aqua Painter to shade it a little. The band is Tangerine Tango. The star was stamped with Stazon ink on watercolor paper. The image was colored using the Aqua Painter (on sale this month) with Old Olive, Baja Breeze, & Tangerine Tango ink. We learned many ways to watercolor...so much fun!!! We also added a brad on the star! The Sentiment is from Fundamental Phrases!

This was a fun, and really quite simple project to complete! Thanks for looking, many more samples to share so come back soon!!!

Getting Ready for K.C. Regional Seminar!

There is nothing better than a Stampin' Up! event to get the creative juices flowing! Today is the big event, the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar. I am sooooo excited!!! It is a full day of classes, stamping, presentations, card swapping, and displays! Hopefully, we will get to meet Shelli Gardner, Cofounder & CEO of Stampin' Up! Also so excited to be attending with one of my downlines, Sarah! Wish Kelly could also go with us, but she attends on Friday. Kelly, we'll miss ya! I just love these gals!!! They are both so creative, and so much fun!!!

I made gifts for the girls to carry their swaps in! They are decorated little acrylic tote bags. They are transparent, so they can show off their swaps! Also, decorated water bottles with the drink mix holders. You can find the instructions on Angie's blog. I wanted to fill them with candies, but didn't want to temp them with sweets :)

And, here are my swaps! I created 2 card designs. So much fun, and I love how the cards look in bulk. The birthday card swap is using the Party Hearty stamp set. (one of the 20th Birthday Celebration Sale next month 20% off) It uses the new Pacific Point In Color cardstock and love the new Pacific Point striped ribbon!!! I'm tellin ya, it is a must have. It also is a suspension card. Instructions can be found on Dawn's blog. And, thank you Sarah for helping me design this card.

The 2nd swap card uses the Dreams du jouir set. I love the color combo of the new Kiwi Kiss In Color cardstock with Elegant Eggplant. Background stamp is Bella Toile. All supplies used, Stampin' Up!

Hope you enjoyed looking, and I will have so much more to share after Regionals!!! That is the great thing about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, they have great events! Have a great week-end!!!

Sock Monkey Birthday Card

Life has been soooo crazy for me! It has been so difficult to sneak in stamp time and also to get time on my laptop to share with you! I really have been missing stamping. There are soooo many great new Stampin' Up! products. When I do sneak in some time, it is difficult to decide what to use.

Well, I have a 5 year old niece having a birthday, so I thought she would enjoy a card with the new Sock Monkey stamp set!

The monkey was stamped on Whisper White with Stazon. Then his body was paper pieced with desiger paper, as well as his hat stamped on designer paper. I colored the rest with Bordering Blue & So Saffron. The package is from the Sock Monkey accessory set. It was also stamped with Stazon & colored with markers.

Additional cardstock is Bashful Blue & Rose Red. Sentiment is from Hugs & Wishes!

Also, on the hat...I used Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon, frayed, tied in knot, & adhered with glue dot. Addition supplies used are dimensionals.

I hope she enjoys her card, and I hope you enjoy the inspiration. Thanks for looking...have a great week-end!

Sock Monkey Swing Card

He's back!!! Love that little Sock Monkey stamp set.

This is a "swing card" ! It is a little complicated to cut & fold, but I found the great instructions on SplitCoast Stampers. Look under Resources across the top of the web site. There are so many great tutorials there. They do such a great job with the tutorial, that I would just totally confuse you if I attempted to describe the cuts, folds, & measurements. I downloaded the template (I suggest you do so) and made one as my sample.

I snapped 3 photos so you could get the 3-D effect. (hope you can see that from these pictures)

The cardstock is Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, & Whisper White. Paper piecing on monkey is from the new Bella Rose designer paper. I colored the monkey with Creamy Caramel & Ruby Red markers. Also fininshed off with Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon.

He is soooo much fun, I'm tellin ya!

Have a great day & thanks for peeking!

Easy does it...Upsy Daisy!

Don't you just love a card that gets WOW results and is just so simple!

The Upsy Daisy stamp set from the new Stampin' Up! Fall-Winter Idea Book & Catalog is a "must have"! The daisy silhouette is amazing. And, check out this card. Very simple! I inked the stamp with More Mustard & Only Orange markers. Then I sponged Chocolate Chip directly on the rubber. I then stamped the image on So Saffron cardstock. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, inked with Chocolate Chip. Cardstock is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The base of the card is Cameo Coral. I also used Chocolate Chip cardstock & punched with the new Scallop Edge punch. Also, love that new punch!!! Ribbon is Chocolate Chip Grosgrain.

Even better...the Upsy Daisy stamp set is on sale for 15% off as part of the Never-before-seen stamp sale!!! This sale is now through September 30th. If you would like more information visit my stampin up web site, or call today.

More Cats!

Quick post today, another card using the Window Dressings Level 3 Hostess set and the Classy Brassy Template. Why did I wait so long to get that template...I just love it!

I used the Classy Brassy Template on Whisper White, embossed & punched the square. Then stamped the kitty from Window Dressings with Stazon, & colored with Stampin' Write Markers So Saffron & Chocolate Chip. Additional cardstock used is Not Quite Navy, & So Saffron Designer Paper. Ribbon is Real Red Grosgrain. The sentiment is from Simply Said, another favorite of mine.

I sent this card to a fellow cat lover, & hope she liked it! Also, I hope it inspired you today! Thanks for looking...

Flip Flop Card!

I have been meaning to share this one for a while. Well, before Summer is officially over, here is my flip flop card! Summer isn't officially over until Labor Day, is it???
Anyway, I did a church stamp camp for some of the girls, & wanted something "young" for their project, something that had a Summer theme. I think they really enjoyed this one.

I drew the template, free hand, & the card opens on the top. It is approx. 5 1/4 x 4 1/2, so it will fit in a standard envelope. The base of the card is Passion Pink. The flowers are stamped in Tempting Turquise on Whisper White. I used a cotton ball to add color with Stampin' Pastels stampin' chalk. The ribbon is Tempting Turquoise. We punched holes & taped the ribbon down underneath.

This was a fun Summer card. We won't be wearing flip flops too much longer. Wow, where did the Summer go?

Have a great day!

Smoosh Card!

This is a new technique I discovered while searching stamping blogs & web sites. I totally love the effect. Also, it is quite funny where I got the color inspiration for this card. Well, it was in church! Yeah, in church...there was someone sitting a few rows in front of me, & I loved the color & pattern of her blouse. Couldn't snap a picture of it to show you, but it was very similar to my completed card.
Here is how I created this card:
I used a clear report cover. It is a great time to go purchase one with back to school supplies readily available now. I used my ink refill for Mellow Moss, Perfect Plum, & Pale Plum. You drop random ink droplets between the plastic report cover, & "smoosh". Then, take 2 pieces of Whisper White cardstock & insert inside the report cover,& smoosh again. You will get 2 pieces to "play with"! Then, I stamped images from the One of a Kind stamp stamp set in Chocolate Chip. To add a little extra color, I used my Stampin' Pastels stampin chalk & colored in part of the flowers with my blender pen. The sentiment was stamped on Pale Plum, with Chocolate Chip. I used my Label Punch, & Hodgepodge Hardware to attached to card. Additional cardstock used is Perfect Plum, & Mellow Moss. Grograin ribbon is from my stash of SU ribbons. All supplies (except the report cover) are Stampin' Up!.
Hope you were inspired to create something beautiful today! Thanks for looking.!
