3 x 3 Notecards Door Prize!

Hey Bloggers!

This morning I had an in-home workshop and gave away this cute little notecard set. I created the 3 x 3 notecards with just a few little supplies, Pink Piroutte, Baha Breeze, & Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I used a few punches, little ribbon, and jewels. The sentiments were created on My Digital Studio with the Happy Greetings Stamp Brush set. One of the many benefits of using My Digital Studio is that you can re-size your stamp brush sets. So, I printed them in a couple of sizes on Whisper White cardstock & the sentiments were ready for my cards. When you look at the cards (in person) you can't tell that they were printed on my computer instead of stamped. I think these little notecards made a fun little doorprize gift!

Here is the roommate gift I gave my new friend, Jackie. The little bear is only 3" tall and was created with the Sizzix scalloped circle dies. The idea came from Patty Bennett.

She was great... we had a lot of fun attending leadership together & seeing the sights. And, yes Jackie, I do have a bad sense of direction. Now that I am home, I think I have that riverwalk figured out! I hope we keep in touch!!!

San Antonio was beautiful...loved the riverwalk.

Stampin' Up! Leadership Swaps

Hello Gals....
As usual, I dont have much time & I am having technical difficulties, LOL!

You all know how much I love swapping cards, so I have been working on creating swaps for Leadership!

Everything is done, assembly line style. I stamp out images, cut cardstock, punch, etc. When you create cards assembly line style, it really doesn't take as long as you might think.

Here are photos of the process of a "BIG" stack of swap cards for Leadership! And, yes, the cat wanted to help! I created two styles of cards, and have a total of 73 card fronts to swap!

The 1st card uses the new stamp set, Tea Shoppe from the Occasions Mini catalog...2nd card uses Sweets for the Sweet from the big catalog, with the new Candy designer paper.

Well, gotta go....

Wow, 2012! I am still having trouble with that date...you know how it is when you have to change the year on paperwork, checks, etc. and you just keep having to go back & correct that date...LOL! But, you know, it is great to be beginning a new year. We always look forward to that fresh new start with new goals! One of my new goals is to share more cards & projects with you. And, what better time than with the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. I have been having so much fun gathering ideas & creating with these awsome new stamps & products.

I hope You all had a wonderful Christmas! Christmas seemed to come so early...I guess it seemed that way because we have had such fabulous weather. When it is 50 degrees, doesn't seem like the end of December.

Here is a photo of the last batch of Christmas cards that I created this year. I got my inspiration from a card on Splitcoast Stampers (link to SplitcoastStampers is on my sidebar) I used two of my favorite new stamp sets from the Stampin Up! Holiday Mini Catalog, Christmas Lodge & The Sounding Joy. The sentiment "Joy" was embossed with the new Pewter Embossing Powder from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch for accent and added a skinny strip of Silver Glimmer Paper for a bit of sparkle. Finishing touch is Satin Ribbon.

And...just a reminder to everyone...The last day to order from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog is January 3rd! Also, have you checked out the Clearance Rack lately??? Christmas is "in the bag"!

Hello Bloggers!

Wow, time has been flying by!!! I have been having classes since October preparing for Christmas, and it will soon be here. So, it is way past time for me to share what I have been doing. Some of you know, as you have been able to attend my Christmas classes, but for those of you that havent...here's pics of projects.

The first two pictures are from a private class I held using the Holiday Stocking die cut to create treat boxes. These adorable little stocking boxes were a big hit! I used designer paper from my "stash", used the snowflake punch, designer label punch, & some waffle paper & real red grosgrain ribbon. We also used the Snow burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The little box is approx. 1 1/2" x 2". Just big enough for some candies, lip balm, or that special little treat! I absolute LOVE the Holiday Stocking die cut & Snow Burst Textured Impressions embossing folder!!! ( Holiday Mini catalog expires Jan. 3rd!!!

Here is another Holiday Stocking treat box with last year's Stampin' Up! designer paper!

I "CASED" this card from the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator web site! It was made with the Stitched Stockings stamp set found in the Holiday Mini catalog! And, wow, skates :) LOVE, LOVE IT!!! I have also seen cards with the Stitched Stockings stamp set making a stick horse, a reindeer, sweater, and baby booties!!! It is an incredibly versitile stamp set, and has a coordinating stocking builder punch.

Halloween Luminaries!

When looking for a project for the retirement center where I share craft projects, I found this cute little luminarie project made from the Sizzix Fancy Favor Box. It was an easy project "really...it is so simple"!

I cut out the box with the Fancy Favor Box die cut. Punched holes in front and back with the 1 3/4" circle punch. Ran the box through my Sizzix Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder. Cut 2 pieces of velum 2" square and stamped images from the Wicked Cool stamp set with Stazon. Adhered velum in windows with glue stick. Assembled box & adhered sides & bottom with Sticky Strip. Stamped image on whisper white & punched out with Lg. Oval punch, layered over Scallop Oval punch and adhered on front of box. Let's see, what is left...yes a pretty black satin bow. Then made a handle with basic black cardstock, 3/4" wide and adhered on sides of box (bag) with brads. I also used my Tasteful Trim die cut for the accent accross the bottom of the bag.

And, finishing touch, a battery operated tea light inside!

Love this project...how about trying one yourself. It could be re-created for any theme, maybe Thanksgiving or Christmas.

October is here, leaves are changing.... I love it! This is my favorite time of year, and each time I go out, I see more signs of Autum! Falling leaves, changing colors, and cool evening temps. And, soon, Halloween will be here.Today I have a Halloween card to share which was created with the Tri-shutter scoring, & cutting technique. Very fun to create.Supplies: Wicked Cool Stamp set, cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, designer paper: Frightful Sight, punches: 1 3/4 & 1 3/8 circle punches, 2 3/8 scallop circle. Today I wanted to share a couple of my recent demonstrator swap cards with a Halloween theme!

They are just too cute!

The 1st card features the new Stampin' Up! stamp set, Out on a Limb (pg 12 of the Holiday Mini Catalog).

The 2nd card features the new stamp set Piece of Poison (pg. 9 of the Holiday Mini Catalog). She also used the new Bigz Die cut, Peekaboo Frames(pg. 36) cut from the new Silver glimmer paper (pg. 41).

What a fun surprise to open the Peek-a-Boo frame for a sentiment!

Simply Scored Card Box & Cards!

Good Monday Morning!

When you received your Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog did you see the new Stampin' Up! Simply Scored scoring tool on page 7? I was soooo excited to see that we are now offering a scoring tool...but not just any scoring tool. The new Simply Scored scoring tool has some really great features. Deep groves every 1/4 inch with a 12 inch ruler down both sides. It has re-positional place marker to make quick work of multiple projects. And, it has a handy storage compartment.

The new Simply Scored scoring tool is an awsome addition to Stampin' Up!'s product line, and I am proud to recommend it to my customers! It is so important to have great tools, and this is definitely a "must have"!

Here is a little project of mine, a hand-made card box created with the new Simply Scored scoring tool. I used Early Expresso for box bottom, Pool Party for box top, and a belly band with the new Spice Cake designer paper (pg. 13). The belly band also has a gorgeous paper flower created with the Fun Flowers Sizzix Bigz die cut and dry embossed with Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

And, of course, coordinating greeting cards to fill my box.

Good Morning All!

There are several things I want to tell you today...

Stampin Up Convention, more photos!

Today I am starting off my Convention photos with some awsome projects that I saw around convention. Fellow Demonstrators are happy to allow photos of their beautiful creations!!! The 1st photo is a project in one of the many, many displays provided by Stampin' Up!

This gorgeous card was presented in one of my classes, created by Mary Ellen Byler.

There were so many exciting moments at convention. Pictured above is "Main Stage" at the begining of convention. Of course, all Stampin' Up! Convention-goers love Prize Patrol! Each attendee gets a colored wrist band. If they flash your' wristband on the big screen...you win free goodies! All 3 of the Stamp Patch Team members that attended won. It was just soooo exciting for us each to win!!! Here is a photo of Carol waiting to recieve her awsome new goodies!!!

Masculine Stamp Camp Photos

Hello Gals!
Thanks to everyone that attended my masculine card class. I hope everyone enjoyed the variety of styles presented in the class, and my previous post giving you some additional color combos suitable for masculine cards. And, for those that couldnm't attend, here are the cards we created.

The first card was one of the favorites, and was one of the simplest to create. We used the Engraved Greetings stamp set stamped in Stazon ink. (Stazon will give you a true black image). The faux metal was created from my husbands metal tape run through the Sizzix texture plate from the background #1 assortment. Cardstock is Sahara Sand, Basic Black & Whisper White. we finished the card off with Basic Black Satin ribbon. (card cased from Stampin Connection)

The next birthday card was designed for a younger guy! We used the Party Hearty stamp set (30% off during National Scrapbooking Month). Cardstock is Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi, & Pacific Point. very simple layout & card to create.

The Open Sea stamp set is from the current Summer Mini Catalog! LOVE IT!!! I received this card as a swap, and everyone enjoyed learning how to make an easel card. Much easier than it looks!

The next card was created with the Autumn Days & Sincere Salutations stamp sets. Colors are Baja Breeze & Soft Suede. This card was cased from Lyssa Zwolanck. I love her work!

And, oh yes, the Oragami shirt. I had to practice doing this fold to present it to everyone, but I think we all did o.k. :) You can find videos on how to make the shirt on youtube.

Monthly Scrap Classes

Wow...I can't believe I am so behind sharing the scrapbooking pages we have been doing at the monthly Scrapbooking Classes.

In March, we created two scrapbook pages.

This page was created using Elegant Soiree' designer paper, coordinating cardstock in Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, & Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon (occassions mini catalog). We tried a new technique using the Manhattan Flower Embossing folder with Velum cardsock & cutting it out...very cool!!! Stamp set used was Elements of Style. We used the Big Shot Oval Frame die cut, & we used my retired Big Shot Die cut bird. Check out the clearance rack for great retired products at a discount!

This Valentine's Day page was created using the Love Impressions designer paper from the Stampin' Up! Occassions Mini Catalog. Coordinating cardstock in Real Red, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, & Grey. Die cuts used are the Scalloped Envelope & Tasteful Trim (from Holiday Mini catalog...still available for purchase). Punches are Two Step Bird, Large Heart, heart to heart, & 2" x 1 3/8" Oval, XL.

Both page layouts CASED from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!

It is great how everything coordinates, so you can mix & match these creative mediums to create some unique projects. For those of you that are not familiar with MDS, it is a digital program containing exclusive Stampin'Up! artwork, with stamps, punches, designer papers, ribbon, embelishments, and cardstock. You can use Stampin' Up! colors to coordinate your projects, just as you can with conventional papercrafting. This program enables you to create cards, scrapbooks, & multi-media projects. Check out this cute card idea! A little Chinese lantern using the blooms stamp from the Easter Blossom stamp set. I stamped the blooms, & punched out with 2 1/2 inch circle punch. Then I ran it through my paper crimper. This is a very versatile stamp set, not just for Easter cards! Of course, this stamp set does makes the most adorable Easter & Spring cards, ever!!! The Very Versatile Petal Cone Die Cut!

WOW...I never would have dreamed that the new Sizzix Big Shot Petal Cone Die Cut would be so versatile! When I first saw the Stampin' Up! Occassions Mini Catalog, & saw the ideas with this new die cut, I really thought it was cute. But, I had no idea it was so versatile! After seeing all the ideas shared by fellow demonstrators, & watching the video from one of my uplines, Jill Olsen, I had to have it!!!

Isn't this Easter Bunny Bag adorable! I will be sharing this project at the Retirement Center I regularly visit. I am sure they will love it as much as I do!

And, here is the box, decorated with the Stampin' Up! exclusive Blossom Party Die Cut. I used the First Edition designer paper from the Occassions Mini Catalog, and Stampin' Up! Antique Brads! Wouldn't these make awsome party favors!

There are many more uses...you can score in 3 inches from the points on end of the box, cut off 2 inches, fold in, assemble the box, & it is a great little box (similar look to a chinese take out box). I have also seen it cut apart, and used as a banner... L-o-v-e I-t!

Hey All!

These are the cards from the latest card class! There were a variety of styles for any occasion!

For the 1st card we created a gatefold card using the Growing Green stamp set, & the 1st Edition designer paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

here's the inside :)

This card has many of the Sale-a-bration goodies offered only until March 31st!!! We used Punch Bunch & So Happy for You stamp sets, and Ice Cream Parlor designer paper. (cased from Ilena Crouse)

The next card was created with the Create a Cupcake stamp set & Build a Cupcake punch. Simply adorable!!! We created texture on the frosting with one of the Big Shot embossing folders. Unique card size was created with the Big Shot Scallop Die cut. (card idea cased from Debbie Henderson)

The Build a Blossom stamp set & coordinating punch are AWSOME!!! Featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog, page 12. There are so many options with the flowers... (Card was cased from a fellow demonstrator on the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Connection)

The last card was created with the Clearly for You & Cute & Curly stamp sets. The class learned how to re-size the new textured impressions framed tulips embossing folder. Background was stamped with the woodgrain background stamp.

Well, I must say, the Stampin' Up! Occassions Mini Catalog has been one of my favorite mini catalogs ever!!! It is full of must have itms... and I think the Create a Cupcate stamp set & Build a Cupcake punch (featured on page 22) are definitely on that list! This stamp set & matching punch are absolutely adorable.

This card could be a great masculine card!

She also used the Big Shot Polk-a-dot embossing folder, & jewel. Very cute! And, this stamp set would be great for weddding or anniversary cards too! There are a lot of possibilities with this one!

Created by Carol M. this adorable project uses the Big Shot Matchbox Die cut with the Love Letter designer paper. Front sentiment is from Matchbox Messages, which coordinates with the Matchbox Die label shapes. Sentiment inside is from Elements of Style. 4 candies fit perfectly inside!

Created by Karen P. beautiful card was created with For All You Do stamp set, & vase was created with the Ornament Punch.

My project CASED from Illia Crouse. Baby Blossoms stamp set was used for the focus of the card, with Beveled Windowpane overlay. (THEY ARE GORGEOUS in person!). I also used the Textured Impressions Embossing folder, Framed Tulips, new designer paper Springtime Vintage, new Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon(attached with sticky strip). Snow Scrapbook Page...How Timely!

Today I am sharing the scrapbook page we did in January. And, how timely...we have been getting bucket loads of snow. So, there are plenty of photo op's for this snow theme!

The base color is Bashful blue, accets are Pacific Point, Poppy Parade, & Whisper White. We used the Level I Hostess designer paper pack for accents. The gals are learning that you don't need 12 x 12 designer paper for the accents, we cheat "a lot" by using scraps for the accent borders.

The little stacked snowman was a hit! I found that idea from fellow demonstrator, Andrea Wolford. With the circles die cut, it made easy work of the snowman. we also used the small oval, & snowflake punches to finish him. And, the little flower was from the BoHo blossoms punch. Snowflakes are from the Sizzix Sizzlet snowflakes die cuts. Page header was created with th Lovely Letters stamp set, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 circle punches. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border was used for the edge across the designer paper accents.

Snow much fun to create!!!

Altered Mailbox

Every year these little mailboxes are available at a local discount store. This year, I finally was able to get there at the right time to snatch some up.

I covered this one with the new Love Impressions designer paper from the Occassions Mini Catalog. The flag was decorated with the "Love" stamp from Valentine Defined & I added a jewel!

The 3 x 3 cards were created with the new Mini Catalog stamp set, Clearly for You! I added a little ribbon, punched sentiments with the oval punch. And, of course, I included a little chocolate with the gift! Have you begun working on your valentines yet?

Hi all!

Have you every considered creating digital projects? Stampin' Up! has an awsome digital program, My Digital Studio! I have had My Digital Studio loaded on my laptop for quite a long time. And, I must say, I haven't played with the program very much. But, it could really expand your papercrafting options. There are several stamp sets loaded on my program that I don't have. So, I thought I would try one of them out this evening. Here is a simple valentine I created with the Always stamp set images on the program! I plan to create more with this great program. You can make scrapbook pages, cards, or a dvd scrapbook. You can print your own, or use the Stampin' Up! printing (which guarantees color match with the exclusive Stampin' Up! colors).

Here is my quick little card project!

And, Stampin' Up! had a great library of downloads available to expand our creativity. I hope to have more digital projects to share in the near future!

Baby Blossoms Swap Card

Good Monday morning to you!

Looks like winter has blessed us with a fresh blanket of snow. So beautiful! But, I think it is a great day for a peak of Spring. Today I am sharing another card using great new products from the Occassions Mini Catalog!

This card was created with the new Baby Blossoms stamp set. Birthday sentiment is from the new Create a Cupcake stamp set. Also used the new Tulip embossing folder. Card front is the In color, Poppy for a bright splash of color. Additional colors, Pear Pizzaz for the stamped label & Whisper White punched from the large oval punch. Flowers are stamped with Concord Crush. I used the Pinking Hearts border punch on the white accent front, black grosgrain ribbon.

Altered Mini Notebook

Here is another great project using the new products from the Stampin Up! Occasions Mini catalog!

I found this little mini composition book at the $$ store, 3 for $1 and though it would make a great altered project. So I used the new Stampin Up! Sweet Stitches fabric and covered the notebook. Then I added the label from the Baby Blossoms stamp set, added the Oval punched label on top. Then I added the new Sizzix buttons embosslits, and Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon. Here are a few pics :)

This little notebook will be great to tuck in my purse.

This is the first time I have purchased the Stampin' Up! fabric, and I love the button pattern. All three of the Sweet Stitches patterns are cute! The fabric will and a fun new element to my card projects. And, great to punch out with Sizzix die cuts.

New Framed Tulips embossing folder...always gotta have them. New designer paper. And the 1st Edition designer paper is a must have...you get a ton of it in a pack, 24 sheets for $11.95. Ribbon is the new 1/2" Baja Breeze seam binding.

Yes, I did say new puppy...an 11 week old Jack Russell which we appropriately named Sugar. She has taken away my freedom to schedule my time, as I wish. But, I am a determined woman...and I WILL get her trained...that is, I think I can :)

Have you all been thinking about a new year's resolution??? Well, mine is quite simple, but will be quite challenging bcause, life here is always so busy. And, us women always seem to focus on taking care of those around us. So my resolution: Take better care of myself! Of course, that includes losing weight and eating healthier...I think the most common resolution. But I also want to improve on my spiritual life, my physical life, and oh yes...my mental life. And, we all know where this is going...my mental life is at it's best when I am stamping!!!

So...I am anxious to get back to stamping with a ton of new goodies! Yes, the new Occassions Mini catalog begin Jan. 3rd and the new Sale-A-Bration promotion begins Jan. 25th. As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I have the pleasure of getting my goodies prior to the catalog release date. I got in a little stampin time, and this is one of my first cards with new goodies!

I used the Valentine Defined stamp set with some designer paper and CASED a card from the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Magazine.

I really like how it turned out! I have a few more samples to share... soon! So check back for more mini ideas!

Christmas 12 x 12 Scrapbook Page

For our Christmas scrapbook page, I used a pagemap layout, and altered it a bit to come up with this month's page. I look at many ideas, so I picked up little ideas here & there from Stampin' Up! demonstrator ideas, & this is what I came up with!

Simply Adorned Charms

Sometimes, the best ideas come from you!

Thank you for my most recent hostess, Jennifer, for her idea of creating charms for the Simply Adorned product line(page 189 of the big catalog). We decided to create charms, and the workshop guests were able to use the charms to create 3 x 3 notecards, or leave the charms seperate for necklaces. For the 3 x 3 cards, simply cut a piece of cardstock 3 x 6. Stampin' Up' has envelopes for mini cards (pg. 171 of the big catalog, Mini Square Envelopes #107309). We used the charming stamp set, & Tiny Tags stamp set. Also used the Tiny Tags punch, & Jewels!

With Gratitude Technique Sample

Sometimes my customers are my best inspiration! I had a customer ask me if they could learn the chalkboard technique. So, this is what I decided to try with the group. This stamp set is awsome, and the large medallian was perfect for trying the chalkboard technique.

We began stamping the image with whisper white craft ink on Expresso card stock. The cardstock was cut twice with the Top Note die cut. Cut, the turn & cut again! Then used Stampin' Pastels chalk to color the image. You can use sponge daubers, or the applicators that come with the chalk. Mine is subtle, or you can add more color if you choose.

Cardstock is pear pizzaz & Expresso. Designer paper is from the in color level 1 Hostess selection. Also used the new Designer Label Punch!

Was fun getting out my chalks again. They are a great product to have, so many colors when you use the VersaMark ink base & pounce the color on!

Amazing Leaves!

Fall leaves have taken center stage at my recent workshops. And, why wouldn't they...the new French Foilage stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Winter Mini Catalog has the most amazing leaf images. It has been fun to play around with the colors, to get different effects.

In the 1st card sample I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, & Eggplant.We used the baby wipe technique to get the multi colored leaves. The sentiment is from All Holidays. I also used one of the amazing embossing folders, Square Lattice.

In the 2nd card sample I used Expresso, Marina Mist, & Daffodile for the color combo. . What color combos would you choose??? thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Scrapbook Page!

Blogging is a great deal of fun... but it has also been a bit difficult lately! I have been extremely busy with classes, work, and in general... life! But, you are all very important to me, and I truly enjoy sharing project ideas. And, what better way is there than to post pictures. Well, I guess videos would be better. It is in the plans, but I am not there yet :) Anyway, I have had this strange problem that my pictures are coming up sideways. Don't know why this is happening...but I am having to re-take photos & get back to the posts when I can.

My scrapbooking photos came out good (thank goodness) so I will share them with you today!

We completed Class #2 of my 12 x 12 Scrapbooking Series last Saturday morning & had a great time completing our Thanksgiving pages. This scrapbook layout was cased from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Doris Denman and I thought it would work perfectly with the Day of Gratitude stamp set. We used the emboss resist technique on the medallion, cut it out, & added a button center! Always fun to add in a technique for a unique page element! Cardstock colors: More Mustard, Cajun Craze, & Garden Green! We used the Spiral Punch & New Decorative Label punch. Sizzix Naturally Serif Sizzlet Decorative Strip Die for the alphabet.

It has been a great way for me to get my scrapbook pages done too!

Fall Scrapbook Layout

My first love of papercrafts was scrapbooking! But, since I became a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! I really haven't done many pages. I wanted to get back to it, and what better way than to offer a monthly scrapbook class to customers. That would force me to get work on my own scrapbook, and for me to get at least one page layout done every month!

So, here is the 1st layout from the monthly scrapbook class which we did in September.

We used the new French Foliage stamp set with the color combo of Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, & Crumb Cake. Leaves were stamped & cut out. We used the new Bigz LX Die, Tasteful Trim. I think I will be using this die cut for many projects. It is awsome for scrapbooking because it cuts 12" strips. Also, we used the Serrif Essentials alphabet die cuts. We also used chipboard on one of the F's in the alphabet to add some additional dimension. Love how you could make your own chipboard alphabet with the Sizzix Big Shot!!! Additional supplies used, buttons, Stampin' Dimensionals, & twine!

Thankful for...

October...my favorite month! The morning air is beginning to be crisp, the afternoon temps are an amazing 72 degrees! And, best of all, leaves are beginning to turn! I absolutely love the amazing beauty of fall leaves :)

Today's card is a CASE of a fall wreath card created by fellow demonstrator, Ann Schach. But I wanted to use my Sizzix Big Shot & the #2 Leaves die cut to see what I could come up with. I began with Stampin' Up! gold cardstock, die cut the leaves, & ran them through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Not enough for me...I then ran a piece of Pear Pizzaz cardstock throught the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Then sponged on lots of color, chocolate Chip, Old Olive, & Cajun Craze. The gold leaves were sponged with Cajun Craze. I arranged leaves in wreath, adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals (my #1 must have item). Assembled card, & stamped sentiment from Thankful For stamp set, and added Certainly Celery satin ribbon.

I took a couple of photos so you can see the dimension of this card. Very fun!!!

Here are a couple of additional ideas using the #2 leaves die cut. The Silver leaves are created from furnace tape! So, they have a sticky layer on the back. Would be great on a card!

And... how about fabric! I picked up this fabric this morning from the fabric store. You can't see from the picture, but the little polk-a-dots are shiny copper on chocolate brown. They will be beautiful on a project!

Stampin' Studio Revealed!

I am soooo excited about the new Stampin' Studio classroom that I wanted you all to see pictures. You can now attend classes at my home, and if I forget an item or if someone wants to see something not already in the classroom, it's no problem to go grab it for you!

For those of you that have attended my classes at the museum & church, you know how much stuff I bring! Wow, it was a chore preparing, making sure I brought everything needed, packing, setting up, then packing back up, loading the car, etc...

So, here are the pictures. I have more work to do, but so far, it is working out great!

The 1st photo is my 3-D project display. There are many projects displayed, and some of them have retired product. But, the display is for your inspiration to show you how versitile Stampin' Up! products are.

Here is a picture of the work area :)

The next photo is my greeting card display! Many of the cards displayed were received from demonstrator swaps, and additional cards of mine. And, oops...I need to update this display with current mini catalog products :)

And, I love this corner of the room...the Big Shot Station!

Dies are stored below in baskets, and everything within reach!!!

Still need to decorate the walls... I have some Stampin' Up! Decor Elements to adhere, and more ... but off to a great start.

Spooktacular Stamp Class!

Last Thursday we had our Spooktacular Halloween Class, and there was no shortage of candy! I always buy too much, and having all that candy around is scarry in itself :)

This is a picture of the group of 6 projects. We created 2 cards, & 4 treat projects! The candy sleeve is a great, easy project for trick or treats. We used a 5 1/2 inch x 5 1/2 inch sheet of designer paper. Slipped treat inside & wrapped & adhered sides (assuring not too tight to slide out) and glued the bottom & sides together. Then crimp bottom with paper crimper & decorate! Designer paper was from the Wicked Cool designer paper pack, & stamp set was Wicked Cool!

See the tags with witch's feet sticking up? That cute project was CASED from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Kimberly Van Diepen! Her creation was so adorable, I copied it just as hers'! Also, used the Wicked Cool stamp set for the witch's feet colored with markers & cut out. Two Tags Sizzix die cut, is the sleeve for the candies. Just adhere 2 tags on bottom crease, cover chocolates with designer paper, & decorate the front!

Autumn Harvest pumpkins were stamped on designer paper, cut out, and adhered to front of card base. Also used the awsome polk a dot Sizzix embossing folder. Sentiment is from Tiny Tags (it's a great set with a sentiment for just about every occasion). Next project is the treat cup lolipop. Just love the treat cups, and this one designed to open in the back for easy removal of candies :)

See the image of the adorable little girl sitting on top of a pumpkin? She is from Greeting Card Kids! It is a great new stamp set!!! We used watercolor paper & the Aqua pen to color her. Then layered on the new Spider Web embossing folder, and added designer paper and border punch.

How about that little milk carton Sizzix die cut, with coordinating stamp set!

My first pennant! What a cute Halloween Decoration this makes!

Last Christmas one of my awsome downlines, Sarah, gave me a Christmas pennant. I absolutely loved it! But I had never made one myself...so I CASED some of here ideas, and added a little of my own!

Of course, I began with the Stampin' Up! exclusive Bigz die cut. I chose to use the small pennant for this project & the Naturally Serif Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die for the alphabet. For each piece of the banner, I used 2 of the scallop circles included in the die cut. I folded them between the scallops, adhered them together to get the accordian fanned circle. Then I used Tombow glue on the edges & sprinkled the new Silver Glass Glitter on the edges. The new Glass Glitter is in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog. Love this chunky glitter, with tons of shimmer!!! Finishing touches, Jumbo Eyelets adhered with the Crop-a-Dile, tied together with one of my favorite ribbons, the 1 1/4 Striped Grosgrain!

Now, where to place my cute little Boo Banner???

I am working on designs for the Spooktacular Halloween Class, and here is a fun little punch art card I came up with. Now, I cannot claim the idea of the punch art bat & ghost created with the XL Owl punch. But, I created the tombstone with the new Extra Large Decorative label punch (from the new mini). I thought it worked well...what do you think? And, the sentiment is from the Wicked Cool stamp set. (I love this one, just too cute with the witches feet!)

Don't know if this one will make the cut, but it is quite simple, & fun to create!

Here is my 1st sample to share with you from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog!

This stamp set has the most incredible, realistic leaves! My card was created using a MOJO Monday Sketch. Very simple layout. Card base is Very Vanilla, & dry embossed with Sizzix Big Shot Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. Additional cardstock is Expresso, Old Olive, & Cajun Craze. Ink is Cajun Craze, Expresso, Old Olive, & So Saffron. Completed project with Vanilla Satin Ribbon. Wow, I love the fall colors!

And, here is another little project I wanted to share! My husband made this 10 x 10 sheet metal board for me :) I have it on an easel to greet customers at my new Stampin' Studio classroom! And, the little magnetic clip was CASED from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, page 200!!! I was looking for a project to creat with the Seniors that I work with. And, this was perfect!!! They covered their tin boards with designer paper, & created the magnetic clips to match! The magnetic clips use clothespins, the ribbon border punch, a little ribbon, & magnets for the back. Was a great time with them, as always!!!

It's been a while, so I apologize for my absence. I have been busy, busy, busy...
We have converted a downstairs bedroom into my new craft studio. I can't wait to have classes in my home. Have any of you seen how much stuff I pack into my car for those stamp camps??? Besides re-decorating my new room, I have been working on creating samples from the next catalog, the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini. It will knock your sox off, sooo awsome!!! Only a couple of weeks left on the current Stampin' Up! Summer Mini catalog. Be sure to order your favorites before they are gone. And, working on my next class, Back to School! Reminder: Aug. 27, 6-9pm at my house, pre-registration required!

Well, lets face it...8 a.m. hits and we sit down to that same desk, covered with the same stack of papers, day after day... Summer is coming to a close, and we need a little something to make that desk more inviting! Or, do the kids need something fun tucked in their school supplies? just got back from a great trip to Wyoming. It was a little bit of heaven...look at the amazing scenery we enjoyed. I took over 600 pictures...wow!!! Just couldn't get enough of it. Now, back to the old grind & getting ready for August workshops. Hope to hear from YOU!!!

Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps!!!

Stampin' Up! Convention is this week! It is the ultimate Stamping Addict's get away...with an excitement that is in-describable. The excitement begins at the airport. Once you board the plane, you quickly spot fellow stamp addicts. They have the newest Stampin' Up! catalog in hand. Some pull out their bags of swap cards, admiring each other's work. Some pull out their bags of card pieces, assembling them en-route to Salt Lake City! And, the excitement and energy just builds from there... Oh, how I would love to be joining the thousands of fellow stamp addicts in Salt Lake City!!! But, I am so fortunate that one of my downline gals has offered to swap my cards for me. So, I will be able to share with each of you cards from fellow stampers :)

Today, I thought I would share 2 of my swap cards that I am sending with Sarah.

The 1st card uses Perfect Punches, the Modern Label Punch, new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder,Damask image from Friends 24/7 stamped in Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive & Very Vanilla cardstock.

The 2Nd card uses the new stamp set, Word Play. New In-Color cardstock, Poppy Parade with coordinating ribbon. And, the new Sunny Garden designer paper!

This card is in the August Demonstrator Magazine (Stampin' Success) and I just loved it! Their sample used softer colors, Pear Pizzaz, Bashful Blue, & Pumpkin Pie (also very pretty), but I changed it up to a fabulous bright color palet with Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, & Melon Mambo. I found the color combo with my new Stampin' Up! Color Coach. The new color coach has a great new design, that makes creating great combos easier than ever!!!

The stamp sets are brand new, Print Petals & Curly Cute! And, look at the new card bling...I just love the new card Jewels. They come in Rhinestone(item #119246)or Pearls (item 119247). They have sticky backs, so easy to use, plus you get 150 for only $4.95!!! See the sparkle on the close up :)

One more element on the card, I ran the stamped image through the Polka Dot Impressions Folder 1/2 way, which added more texture to the card.

Gotta love the new stamps & embellies!!!

Summer Mini Catalog Swaps!

One of my favorite activities as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is to create Swap cards with fellow Demonstrators! Through the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator business web site, I found a group that wanted to swap cards using the Summer Mini Catalog products!

Oh, yeah!!! So, I got one of my downline, Wilma Henggeler to join in with me!

The first card was created by Wilma featuring the July 4th stamp set! She did a great job, including the Top Note Big Shot die cut, and love the fireworks on the card! And, did you notice the new Square Lattice Embossing Folder (in red)? Love it!!! Cardstock: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, ink: Real Red, Night of Navy, So Saffron, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 punch, real red ribbon, Sponge Dauber, Stampin' Dimensionals.

The next card was in the swaps I received, but it wasn't signed. So, I am sorry I cannot give proper credit to the artist. I really liked it because it shows how versatile the Island Oasis designer series paper is. (from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog) This card doesn't look "tropical", but I just love the patterned paper. The stamp sets used are Favorite Thoughts set (again Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog, pg. 19) and Elements of Style (pg 12). Cardstock: Taken With Teal, Old Olive, & Very Vanilla.

Punched Posies!

There is so much to share with you right now...Summer Mini Catalog, Retiring Stamp Sets, Retiring Decor' Element products, Color Renovation- retiring colors, and retiring accessories. So, today I wanted to focus on one of my favorite Stampin' Up! products, the AWSOME Stampin' Up! punches!!!

For today's card, I used Punched Poisies,a Level 2 Hostess set from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog. This set coordinates with Stampin' Up! Punches, which makes for a quick project. I know many of you don't like cutting out stamped images, and on this card, I did't need to use the scissors on anything (except ribbon)!

Here are the ingredients:
cardstock, So Saffron, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, & Whisper White
Stamp set: Punched Posies, & One of a Kind (retiring June 30th)
Punches: Scallop Circle, XL Flower Fancy Flower (was from Occasions Mini catalog & is still available), 5 petal flower, Designer Label, & 1" circle.
Ink: Rose Red, So Saffron, Versamark

Big Shot Purse!

I know some of you are quilters, so I wanted to share with you how the Sizzix Big Shot can also be used with fabric! There are over 50 different materials that can be cut with the Big Shot, and fabric is one of them!

This purse was created with the Bigz Scallop Square Die Cut! This version of the purse used 34 double layer squares with 3" felt batting between each for the outside. I also added an additional square on one end, to make a pocket for a cell phone, and 2 additional squares on the inside for an inside pocket. This is my 3rd purse, and I plan to work with our church & show the ladies how to make them for our next church sale! Really fun project! How many of you remember, back in the day, how popular Pac-Man was??? We had the old Atari video games, nothing like the life-like graphics that are available now! I was surprised to hear that Pac-Man is 30 years old. YIKES!!!

Well, Google has an interactive Pac-Man game on their home page. You can play by clicking "insert coin" and using the arrows on your keypad! Have fun!!!

On Board Briefcase Album

On page 23 of the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog you will find 2 adorable on-board books! Today's project was created with the Briefcase On-Board Book. The book is 5 5/8 x 5 7/8. I covered each page of the book with the Travel Journal designer series paper. Also, I added Twill Tape for a little embelishment. The little tag was created with the In A Word stamp set! The designer paper could also be complemented with stamped images from the Sentimental Journey stamp set (pg 22) in the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog!

I am lovin this new mini catalog!

Now, where can I get my my hubby to take me, and do you think I can get him to pose with me for pictures??? I can't wait to complete my mini album with photos!

Scrapbooking at the May Event!

Here is another peak at one of the page layouts from the Stampin' Up! 6 x 6 Mini Album class!

On this page I used the exclusive Stampin' Up! Lattice Die Cut! Also used the Boho Blossom punch for the flowers, and stamped the center with a pencil eraser. Leaves were stamped with the Extra Large 2 Step Bird punch! All of the punches released in the Occassions Mini Catalog are still available for purchase! The stamp is from the set, In A Word, Summer Mini Catalog. The entire album uses coordinating cardstock & the new Island Oasis designer paper from the Stampin' Up! Summer Mini Catalog.

How great, to scrap a complete 20 page album in a day. The album is the Old Olive Polka-dot 6 x 6 from the Summer Mini Catalog. The designer series paper is Island Oasis, stamp set In a Word. Also, used the tags sizzlets & exclusive Stampin' Up! Blossom Party Big Shot die cut. And, it is all ready for photos & journaling :)

April Stamp a Stack Photo!

Hello bloggers!

Those of you on my e-mail list received my e-mail today regarding Stampin' Up!'s Color Renovation and the "run" on retiring color products. Isn't it funny how something is available for purchase, for years, but as soon as we find out it will no longer be available, all of a sudden "we want it"! I think we are all that way, we just take things for granted. I am as guilty as the next guy. I am already thinking, maybe I better get another package of Taken With Teal cardstock, since I only have 1 pack left, and we wont be able to get it again...

Well, these are samples of the projects from my April Stamp a Stack. And, most of the colors in these cards are retiring. We created a variety of styles, and customers were able to customize their creations with their choice of Stampin' Up! sentiments. I had a great time with everyone, and am looking forward to the Scrapbooking class on May 15th. And, by the way, it is FULL! Thanks, everyone for your awsome response.

I would love to hear from you with class suggestions, times, projects, etc... Anything you wish to suggest (be kind, please:) for future events. I always enjoy spending time stamping with you. thanks to all...

Scallop Border Punch Tip!

Today is the last day to order from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog! And, here is one last card sample using the Very Vintage Stampin' Around Wheel from the mini catalog. The card base is Crushed Curry, & the Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon will be retiring June 20th! The Well Scripted sentiment set is one of my favorites (also retiring!).

To make the Scalloped Trimed square, I used a square piece of 2 1/4" cardstock. The scallopes work out well with this size, then layered 1 3/8 circle punch on top!

This card was very simple to complete, & I really liked how it turned out!
