Baskets & Blooms Card Basket

Well, I apologize for my absence, life just gets too busy!!! But, I hope you find todays post, worth the wait. First things, first...I want to give credit for todays project to a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Christine Grygar
for designing the card layout, & the Sizzix Baskets & Blooms Card basket. I was so inspired by her project, that I had to make one of my own!!!
The image on todays card is from the new stamp set, Wagon Full of Fun. This set is in the Occasions Mini Catalog. And, speaking of the Occasions Mini Catalog, WOW!!! Don't you just love it!!! I have had a business plan, since I signed up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. My plan was to only purchase ONE stamp set from each mini catalog at the time they were released. That was because, I like to purchse sets that I can demonstrate & share with my customers. And, we don't know which of these sets will make it into the new catalog July 1st. But, I have already purchased several sets, & I want more. So, I may take a little detour from the original plan :) because there are so many sets in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog that are "Must Haves".
Today's card is the usual 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. But, I folded the top layer back to make the fun fold on the front.

Here is a picture of the card, opened!

And...here is the card basket!!! Don't you just love it!!! The sides are made with the Sizzix Basket & Blooms die cut. The center is a piece of 6" wide cardstock, cut & scored to adhere to the sides of the Basket & Blooms die cut (which was scored 3/4 inches on each side to adhere. I also placed another piece of cardstock across the inside bottom, & up 2 " on each side of the inside. That was to secure the bottom of the basket-box. The daisy is the Sizzix Sizzlet Daisy Flower with a Rhinestone brad in the center.
Here is another photo with the card inside :)

And, how about that designer paper! I used the Stampin' Up! Pink Flamingo designer paper. I just love those bright images. And, there are little pink flamingos hidden in the design of some of the images. Too cute!!!

See the little Flamingo in there?

Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder Now Available!!!

The new Manhattan Flower embossing folder is available. And, all I can say is "WOW"! It is just gorgeous!!!

One of my awsome Downlines, Sarah, let me use her new embossing folder to try it out. First, I used the Top Note die cut with Blush Blossom cardstock. Then, used the Manhattan Flower embossing folder to make the beautiful floral embossing. It was matted over Chocolate Chip Cardstock. The sentiment is from the new set Thoughts & Prayers (a great one!!!). The background cardstock is Close to Cocoa. I stamped it with the Classic Stripe background stamp. Finished off the card with Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain ribbon. This was a very simple card to create:)
I am loving my new Sizzix Big Shot die cut machine. Is it on your wish list??? If so, contact me to find out how you can get it at a discount by becoming a Stampin' Up! Hobby Demonstrator!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Hidden Message Suprise Card!

Hello Stampers!

Just a quick post, having a very busy week. Getting ready to go stamp with the Seniors, always love that. But I have been very anxious to share this card with you.

This card idea was from my demo magazine, Stampin' Success. It is full of great projects to share and business ideas. I am always so excited to see what new ideas they have for me each month.

And, my sample was created with the Stampin' Up! stamp set, A Good Egg. It has been around for a while, but new to me :) I colored the little chick with my aqua pen & So Saffron ink. Beak colored with Only Orange marker. Cardstock is Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, & Kraft. Ribbon was FREE :) It was from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon bundle, & the designer paper was also FREE from the Sale-A-Bration designer paper pack.

And, look at the surprise! The card swings open to show the surprise greeting inside. I just love this card idea, and could think of so many occasions to use it. Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. etc. etc...

I would love to make one for you! If you would like to schedule an in-home workshop give me a call. Hurry...because Sale-A-Bration only lasts until March 31st!!!

Have a great day!
