Stamp Club Projects

These two cards were from the last stamp club workshop. Since Father's Day is fast approaching, I wanted to share 2 masculine cards with the group. We have been learning new techniques each month and the first card used the Faux Leather technique. You cover a piece of cardstock with pieces of masking tape. Sponge on inks, we used Creamy Caramel, Wild Wasabi, Bravo Burgandy, & Chocolate Chip. Let dry a bit, then cover image with Versamark ink, & emboss with clear embossing powder. The embossing powder gave the surface a shiny, sheen.
The stamp set used was Wanted, Cardstock is Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, & Very Vanilla. Stars are punched with the small star punch.

The 2nd card used the All Holidays stamp set & Classic Stars Jumbo Wheel. Inked with Night of Navy. Cardstock is Night of Navy, Real Red, & Whisper White. The large star is On Board Chipboard from the OnBoard Simon Upper chipboard assortment. We inked the chipboard Summer Sun Craft ink using sponge daubers. We found it inked up nicely with two coats. While wet, sprinkle with clear embossing powder and apply heat gun. We then punched a hole in the chipboard with the Crop-a-dile, and tied on Navy Grosgrain Ribbon. With a different sentiment, this card would be great for graduation, or a birthday card. All supplies are Stampin' Up! Thanks for looking!
